What started with nine employees around a bonfire in Zakopane in 2012 has turned into the biggest tech event in Schibsted Media Group. For the fifth time Schibsted Tech Polska organized its Winter Event, this time at Czarny Potok Resort & Spa in Krynica-Zdrój in southern Poland.
The 210 participants came from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Spain and – of course – Poland.
Main topic: Data security
This year the main topic was “data security”. Through three keynote presentations the audience learned how also Schibsted Media Group faces cyber threats – and how the specialists are
“VG is under attack from hackers every day,” explained Audun Ytterdal, head of IT operations at Norway´s largest news site: vg.no.
Fun activities
As always the employees and the foreign guests had time for some fun afternoon activities before they met for the gala dinner and party in the evening.
STP Awards
And as always STP Awards were given out – in three categories. The winners this year were:
- Project of the Year: 5 ways to engage by the Schibsted Products and Technology Media Platform Engage team
- Improvement of the Year: FastenOSS by the Schibsted Norway Tech Editorial Mobile Team
- Blogger of the Year: Jacek Kwiecien
