ABOUT THE TEAM

Join our Advertising Ad Server and Ecosystems team as a Backend Developer, where you’ll play a central role in building the foundation for our advertising ecosystem across the Nordic marketplaces—including FINN.no, Blocket.se, Tori.fi, DBA.dk, Bilbasen.dk, Bytbil.se, and Oikotie.fi. You’ll work on innovative solutions that streamline ad tech and help ad operations, collaborating with the product manager to find the best solutions. ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Develop Scalable Services: Design, build, and maintain backend services that serve the foundation for advertising, targeting, reporting, and personalised ad generation.
  • Integrate Systems: Ensure seamless integration of backend systems with existing infrastructure and third-party platforms, focusing on performance and scalability.
  • Code Quality and Reviews: Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, promoting best practices and high-quality code standards, and doing continuous refactorings to keep the code base up to date.
  • Technical Alignment: Engage in design meetings to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Solid knowledge about Kotlin/ Java or similar object oriented programming
  • Familiarity with concurrent programming.
  • Familiarity with containerization.

 

NICE TO HAVE:

  • CI/CD Familiarity: Comfortable with continuous integration and deployment tools, such as GitHub Actions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience with working effectively within diverse teams and communicating with stakeholders from various backgrounds.
  • Security and Documentation: Understanding of security best practices, data protection, and API documentation standards like OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Database Skills: Proficient with relational databases like PostgreSQL; experience with data processing and API development.
  • Advertising Domain Knowledge: Experience in the advertising industry or with automation systems is advantageous but not a must.
