Padraic Woods, Software Development Manager in VG Mobile
VG is Norway´s largest news source – and the mobile site alone is visited by 3 million Norwegians every week.
Padraic Woods will explain how the programmers build the different applications for VG and what they have learned in the processes.
Wimp: Building a music service
Pål Berg, Head of Client Development, and Torkjel Austad, Head of QA, Wimp Music
Wimp is a music streaming service focusing on helping users to find new music and old favorites. It is also in the Polish market (http://wimp.pl), where it competes with Spotify.
Pål Berg and Torkjel Austad have central roles in the technical development of the music service – and will give insight about how they work, both with developing native apps for IOS and Android, their use of APIs and how Wimp ensures the product scales well.

Making traffic alert app using Phonegap

Stavanger Aftenblad is the leading media house in Norway´s ”oil capital” Stavanger.
For commuters in Stavanger traffic jams are daily challenges. Michal Plachta will tell about how his team built an innovative mobile app using the Phonegap framework and all related challenges, advantages and drawbacks.
The app lets users alerts each other about traffic jams and give a live overview of any traffic problems in the area.
